Variety Studios:

The variety studios allow for audience participation in quiz shows and variety programmes. Audiences are encouraged to take part in the shows during recording in order to create the atmosphere of a live recording.

Drama Studios:

Recent statistics show that a significant number of South Africans still do not have access to either a radio or television signal. However, the SABC is continuing to make progress in the drive towards universal service and access, as everyone has right of access to the theatre of the mind; it is for this performance space that radio drama caters.
RBF drama studios accommodate specialised drama production, including live sound effects – which can be accessed or created – and offer ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ acoustic rooms.
